Freedom from Smoking Cessation Classes
Beginning Tuesday, June 8, 2021
9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Eight classes over 7 Weeks

Freedom From Smoking classes from the American Lung Association will help you learn how to overcome your tobacco addiction so you can enjoy the benefits of better health, extra money in your pocket and healthier relationships.

You’ll learn about:
•Medicines that can help you stop smoking
•Lifestyle changes that make quitting easier
•Preparing for Quit Day
•Managing stress
•Avoiding weight gain
•Developing a new self-image
•How to stay smoke-free for good

Class Dates are as follows:

  • June 8- Classrooms 2 & 3
  • June 15- Private Dining Room
  • June 22- Classrooms 2 & 3
  • June 29- Classrooms 2 & 3
  • July 1- Private Dining Room
  • July 13- Classrooms 2 & 3
  • July 21- Private Dining Room

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is providing the funding. The purpose of the Delta program is to fund organizations located in eight Delta states (Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Tennessee) to address unmet local health care needs and prevalent health disparities through the development of new and innovative projects in Delta communities.
